Meet our newest addition: Penelope Pickles McDougal — aka “Penny.”

We adopted her from the Oakland Animal Shelter a few weeks ago, and she’s an amazing little pup.

We now have a cat and a dog that were shelter rescues (my sister and my parents also both have shelter cats), and we couldn’t be happier with our little ones.  I mean really, how could anyone not love that face!

There are so many unwanted animals in shelters that could use a loving home — if you’re thinking about getting an animal, please PLEASE consider adopting.
