{New flats inspired by my former life when I was a dancer}

Happy Friday! Do you have big plans this weekend? I have a girls brunch tomorrow morning (I can’t wait!) and then we are heading to San Jose for a friend’s housewarming. We will be spending time with my parents while we’re down there (though, they could care less that we’re coming down — they really only want to see Prim.)

Alexis and I also plan to hit up Gap to pick up some festive Christmas duds for the kiddos! Prim in Christmas jammies? I can’t even.

{Halloween costume prep}

What are you up to this weekend? I’m teaching Bar Method and planning on starting Prim on solid food for the very first time. I know she’s ready (she’s super interested in what I’m eating these days and tries to reach out and grab whatever I’m trying to shove into my mouth half the time), but a part of me wants to stall it a little longer because then that means that she’s still just a baby and not growing up. That’s totally how it works, right?

{The most adorable and edible baby toes}

This week I resurrected my Canon Rebel XS in an effort to work on the photography on the blog, and take more photos in general. Prim is obviously my main subject these days (though, capturing a squirmy 5 month old is a little trickier than I was anticipating!)

For every photo I got where at least something is in focus, there were at least five others that were a complete blur. I guess I can only get better from here, though, right?

This weekend we are taking Prim to the pumpkin patch, and I hope to find time to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas with KC. In my mind, this always signals the official start of the holiday season. (And I don’t even care if I’m getting ahead of myself here — Christmas with Prim this year? My heart might explode with happiness.)

I’m also hoping to sneak in a nap or two because Prim is teething like no other, which means this mama is tiiiiiired.
