Stuffed! (Plus, a hair update)

So I’m sure you’re all wondering how my date with the scissors went this afternoon (or not… Whatever, just go with it.)  Anyway, I asked my stylist how my hair looked health-wise before telling him of my recent no ‘poo adventures.  Direct quote: “Really, really good.”  I told him of my challenge and (a bit to my surprise) he was super into it.  He said it sounded like a great idea, as baking soda is a really mild cleanser (and therefore doesn’t strip your hair like regular shampoo) and apple cider vinegar closes the hair cuticle (which is what prevents fly-aways and keeps your hair looking shiny and healthy).  He even added that shampoo for the most part is perfumes and a sudsing (is that a word?) agent, neither of which your hair needs.  He said my hair looked super healthy (aside from my ravaged ends) so I could keep on with my natural diet if I wanted.  SUCCESS!

After my trim, I headed over to Michelle’s new apartment (in case you don’t know, Michelle is my BFF and we have known each other since the age of 6.  We basically can’t live without each other.)  This is pretty much how our time together is spent:

Michelle fed me a homemade macaroon (delicious, and sorry, I didn’t get a picture).  We caught up and then made plans to meet for lunch on my birthday (which is next weekend!).

After that, I headed back to my parent’s house and decided it was time for a snack: an orange + a handful of unpictured pretzels.

Post-snack, my mom and I headed over to Cost Plus (one of my favorite stores) where I picked up some spices (mild and hot curry powder and ground coriander).

Dinner was tacos with a side of beans and rice from Tlaquepaque Taqueria.

It was delicious, but now I am STUFFED!  I didn’t feel like my plate was that full, but it definitely feels like I ate a bowling ball right now.  I think I may need some tea to see if it helps me feel less like I ate my weight in beans and rice.

More food tomorrow (I think there may be some Willow Street in my near future…YUM!)
