Personal

Life Lately

The last couple of weeks have been a blur of finishing up at work, getting ready for our move to Amsterdam, and planning a little lady’s first birthday.

img_8190It’s crazy that we will be moving out of the country in just a couple weeks. Part of me is so excited about this big change, and part of me is completely in denial. Like, move? What move?

I honestly don’t know if I’m going to show up at the airport in a couple weeks and be like, “What are we doing here? We’re not moving! Haha! What a funny joke guys! Ok, let’s head home!”

We’ve been dreaming and talking about a move like this for a long time (since before we were even married!), and have been dealing with the actual opportunity and logistics for quite awhile now, so the fact that the reality of all of this talking and dreaming and planning is just around the corner is sort of mind-boggling.

KC will even have a couple days off work before we leave for Amsterdam, so I’m excited to plan a couple of California adventures (“California adventures” haha) before we leave this all behind for a couple of years.

Whether or not that will work out is still TBD. I think it’s more likely that we’ll be able to hit one of the local zoos or the Monterey Bay Aquarium with Prim in tow (which also sounds totally fun and adorable, albeit a little less delicious.) img_8187img_8189What would you have on your bucket list if you were leaving the country? (I think I need to stuff myself full of Mexican food before we leave — I’ll definitely be missing that while overseas!)
