weekend

This Weekend Was…

This weekend we had some much-needed downtime, which included a couple quiet evenings at home and dinner with just the two of us. Amidst the chaos of having a 6 month old, living with in-laws, working, and trying to keep up with life in general, it was so nice to have a few quiet hours to ourselves to reconnect and just take a breath.

Some of my favorite moments this weekend involved listening to podcasts while switching between making a batch of mochas on the stove and stirring a big batch of babyfood to freeze for Prim. (We listened to The Message and Limetown, if you’re curious.)

We managed to finish up a small portion of our Christmas shopping, thanks to the Old Navy friends and family sale. (Um 50% the entire store? Yes please.) And we managed to take photos for our Christmas card at Alexis’ house. (I’ve never sent Christmas cards out, so the fact that we actually got our act together and managed to get photos together before Thanksgiving is kind of a miracle.)

I absolutely love the way the photos turned out (thanks in large part to the fact that this husband of mine is quite adorable, and Prim, well, I’m obviously biased, but I can’t even handle how cute she is.)

Here are a few photos that didn’t make the cut for the card: IMG_7236^^Nothing cuter than a little baby belly, am I right?^^

^^I mean, heart: melted.^^

I hope your weekend was relaxing and full of cheer.

PS: Prim’s cute hat, sweater, and moccasins are currently available at BabyGap. Onesie is from Old Navy, and polka dot pants are from BabyGap, but were purchased on super sale a long time ago when I was pregnant.
