On Not Being Alone

There’s a great post over at A Cup of Jo today about feeling down (basically, a little of what inspired this 2 week challenge).  Obviously, this post is Joanna’s own personal story, and therefore it has elements that won’t be relevant to your own life — but I thought the overall message was a really great one.

I’ve talked to a lot of people recently who seem to be in a situation similar to mine — feeling a little lost because of one thing or another (are you supposed to have your whole life figured out at 27?  Is it weird to even think that?).  This post helped remind me that many people go through varying degrees of this, and the best thing you can do is keep putting one foot in front of the other and ask for help when you need it.

And it’s always nice to have a little reminder that you’re not the only one going through this, right?

So, if you’re feeling a little lost or out of control of your life — know that you’re not alone.  And while those grey clouds are overhead, try to focus on the positive until the sun comes out.
