It’s been over a year since my last “what’s on my Kindle” post, so I thought I should add my updates, in case you’re looking for some new reading material.  (I love knowing what other people are reading, and actually get a lot of great ideas on what to read next from other blogs and online postings.)  Soo, here’s what’s on my Kindle these days…

Regular Books:

Currently reading:  Big Little Lies (it’s very similar in style to The Husband’s Secret (terrible title, BTW), which I read and is also on my Kindle.  It’s an easy read and I generally enjoy Liane Moriarty’s style of writing.)

Just finished: The Girl on the Train (definitely kept me hooked, but I always find it interesting/somewhat annoying to read books where the main character(s) aren’t particularly likeable)

To read next:  In the Heart of the Sea (it’s the true story of the ship that inspired Moby Dick)

Also on my Kindle…

Wild (kept my interest, but I wouldn’t say I LOVED it)

All the Light We Cannot See (started and put down — will probably finish it eventually)

Yes Please (fun, easy read)

Divergent and Insurgent (I didn’t finish Insurgent… it just didn’t keep my interest)

The Invention of Wings (haven’t read yet)

The Kitchen House (started and put down… seems to be a theme with me these days)

A Reliable Wife (finished, but did not like it)

Under the Wide and Starry Sky (sort of depressing)

The Dinner (fascinating but soooo disturbing.  I almost wish I hadn’t read it.)

One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories (fun read — good if you’re a commuter and want short stories for the train)

Pregnancy books:

Most generally informative:  Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy

Most likely to freak you the F out with risks and tell you everything that’s terrible about pregnancy:  What to Expect When You’re Expecting

Most helpful:  Expecting Better (this was written by an economist and breaks down all the statistics and studies for you so you can know what you should actually worry about)

Hoping my parenting style is like: Bringing Up Bébé

So, what are you reading?
